Chief Monday Arawhore, Chairman of the Forum of Presidents General of Urhobo Kingdoms, on Friday, 7 November 2025, extended his warm congratulations to His Royal Majesty, Engr. Michael Ogheneovo Orugbo (Okporua I), the Ovie of Udu Kingdom, on the presentation of his Staff of Office by the Governor of Delta State, Rt. Hon. Sheriff F. O. Oborevwori.
The ceremony drew a wide spectrum of Urhobo traditional rulers and dignitaries, including HRM Maj. Gen. Felix Mujakperuo (rtd.), Orhue I, Orodje of Okpe Kingdom and Chairman of the Delta State Council of Traditional Rulers; HRM Emmanuel Sideso, Abe I, Ovie of Uvwie Kingdom; former Governor Chief James Onanefe Ibori; Senator (Chief) Ighoyota Amori; and the Speaker of the Delta State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Emomotimi Dennis Guwor.
Chief Arawhore described the event as a defining moment marked by peace, cultural renewal, and the promise of developmental progress for the Udu people and the kingdom at large.

He praised the monarch as a “symbol of unity, wisdom, and integrity,” and expressed confidence that under his leadership, the traditional institution would be strengthened, cherished values upheld, and social cohesion and economic advancement fostered.
Also speaking, Chief (Barr.) E. T. Opone, President General of Orogun Kingdom and Legal Adviser of the Forum, congratulated the Ovie and commended Governor Oborevwori for upholding the sanctity of traditional institutions. He remarked that, “The presentation of the Staff of Office to HRM Engr. Michael Orugbo is both a validation of his leadership and a reaffirmation of the enduring bond between the state and the traditional council.”
Chief Arawhore also commended His Royal Majesty for his fatherly guidance, advocacy for youth empowerment, promotion of peace, and steadfast commitment to preserving the customs and traditions of Udu Kingdom.
Joining countless well-wishers across Udu and beyond, Chief Arawhore, together with other members of the Forum, which includes, chief Kenneth Ukpebitere, PG of Evwreni. Chief Wilson Umukoro PG of Arhavwarien kingdom and Chief Patrick Weleke PG of Ughievwen kingdom and others, prayed that Almighty God and the royal ancestors continue to bless the Ovie of Udu Kingdom with good health, divine wisdom, and the courage to guide the kingdom to even greater heights.
