CONDOLENCE MESSAGE
It is with great shock that I received the sad news of the passing of the Ovie of Effurun-Otor Kingdom, His Majesty Johnson Yovwinor Duku, King Duku II, the Orovworere of Effurun-Otor Kingdom.
I had the privilege of sitting beside His Royal Majesty during the Urhobo Economic Summit in 2019. He was full of life and ideas for the peace and prosperity of not just Effurun-Otor Kingdom, but the whole of Delta State and indeed Nigeria. He was also the Royal Father of the Day at the 12th Chief Demas Akpore Annual Memorial Lecture organized by the Ejiro and Otive Igbuzor Foundation in 2019.
On behalf of the entire staff of the Office of the Deputy President of the Senate, we express our heartfelt condolences and the deepest sympathies to our colleague, Prince Efe Duku and the entire Royal Family during this difficult time.
We pray to the Almighty God to grant the family the fortitude to bear the loss.
