Member-Elect of the Delta State House of Assembly for Ughelli North Constituency II, Barr. Obokpare Spencer Ohwofa has described a Chieftain of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Olorogun (Prof). Rukevwe Akpedeye-Ugwumba as an accomplished professional and an illustrious daughter of Uwheru Kingdom who continues to make sterling contributions to nation building.
Ohwofa via a statement by his Media Office to celebrate Ugwumba’s 53rd birthday on Wednesday, said the Professor of Family Medicine with special interest in Public Health and Infectious Diseases is an inspirational, intelligent and resourceful statesman whose achievements traverse both private and public life.
The statement reads in part: “I am most excited to celebrate my dearest big sister and our leader, Olorogun (Dr). Ruky Ugwumba as she clocks 53 today. As an active physician and University Don in Canada, Former Special Adviser on Health Monitoring to the Delta State Government and Consultant to the Nigerian Senate Committee on Health, Dr. Rukky Ugwumba has over the years established herself as a shining beacon of hope through patriotic service to our state and country, particularly in the area of improving access to quality health care both at home and in the diaspora.
“As founder of the Jesu Marie Empowerment Foundation, she continues to make positive impacts on the less privileged through focused interventions on health, education and skill acquisition initiatives”.
Ohwofa commended Olorogun Rukky Ugwumba for her extraordinary commitment to the cause of a New Delta and the APC, noting that her works are visible and appreciated.
