He noted, “For you to celebrate 40 years of graduation is not easy. Today, we are not only celebrating 40 years of graduation, but we also have one of our teachers, mentors, and molders in our midst, Chief Emmanuel Apinoko. It is one thing to have the resources; it is another to have the mind to give. Some people, though dead and buried, are still living because of their good deeds. Others, though physically alive, are dead morally and spiritually because of their actions. The good thing about the 1979/1984 set of OGS is its uniqueness because we have pastors, deaconesses, the Onotu-Uku of Orogun Kingdom, and triple chiefs.”

Orogun Grammar School, founded by Chief Demas Akpore in 1966, holds a special place in the hearts of its alumni. Attendees shared fond memories of their school days and reflected on the impact their education had on their lives. A minute of silence was observed in honor of those who have passed away.
